Anthony Coe
Anthony grew up in Glencairn but opted for the more bohemian atmosphere of Observatory after leaving school. While studying for his degree in English and Media he started an alternative media ezine, which lured him into a brief career as a copywriter before he moved into sales followed by client service and strategy. He honed his direct marketing skills developing campaigns for multinational and national enterprises, including Unilever, Independent Newspapers, Readers Digest and Media 24. After working for a global search marketing company (where he was head of sales and marketing for the SA division) he decided that the time was right to start up his own company with long-time friend and colleague, Phil. It’s not all work and no play for Anthony, who has been in various alternative bands for the past 14 years; he’s also a volunteer firefighter for VWS in Cape Town and indulges in a spot of boxing and weightlifting when time allows.
